An ESL Thanksgiving, 11/24/14

At Monday night’s ESL (English as a Second Language) session, we and our friends-students celebrated Thanksgiving with many smiles and much laughter as well as a gracious plenty to eat.

Students and “teachers” brought food to share and, as a result, we had a fabulous Thanksgiving feast, most of it homemade! We dined on guacamole and chips, tamales, Armenian turkey casserole, spicy sesame green beans, papusas, Haitian beniers, almond–cherry chocolate cookies, raisin cinnamon bread, pumpkin pie… And MORE! The variety was astonishing and each dish was delicious. Thanks to everyone for coming.

We can’t promise such a feast every Monday, but ESL at St. James is always a fun, relaxing–and instructive!–evening. Please join our conversations as either a student or leader. All are welcomed, every one.
