On Sundays, parking is generally available on Broadway, Holland Avenue, and nearby side streets.  Parking meter and resident permit restrictions are suspended.  However, when a special, neighborhood event – a parade or a road race, for example – is held on a Sunday, the city of Somerville may institute a parking ban on Broadway and Holland Avenue.  Temporary signage indicates when such a ban is in effect.

Posted parking regulations are in effect for weekday services such as Ash Wednesday and Maundy Thursday. Parking meter hours in Somerville run until 8:00 p.m.

Please note that parishioners and visitors are not allowed to park in the lot across from the Clarendon Street entrance to the church.

Subway: Take the Red Line to Davis Square and exit at Holland Avenue.  Walk 0.5 miles up Holland Avenue (away from Davis Square) until it intersects with Broadway at  the Teele Square fire station. The church is on Broadway, one block beyond the fire station.

Bus: Routes 87, 88 and 89 pass directly in front of St. James.  All 87 and 88 buses and some 89 buses run between St. James and the Davis Square ‘T’ stop.
