Dear Present and Former Members of St. James,

It is with a prayer of thanksgiving for the life of Arthur Ryce, who in his 95th year entered into Eternity on Sunday, 28 February 2021, that I send you this notice.  In his more active years, Arthur was involved with the scouting program, youth basketball, and the vestry in the parish.  Although an obituary is to be published, I thought that as a parish family, even for former members, you would all like to be informed of this change in the parish.  Because of restrictions due to Covid-19, no in-person liturgy will be held at the church.

Let us pray for our deceased brother in Christ Arthur and his family:

O God, whose mercies cannot be numbered: Accept our prayers on behalf of your servant Arthur, and grant him an entrance into the land of light and joy, in the fellowship of your saints; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.  Amen.

Grant, O Lord, to all who are bereaved the spirit of faith and courage, that they may have strength to meet the days to come with steadfastness and patience; not sorrowing as those without hope, but in thankful remembrance of your great goodness, and in the joyful expectation of eternal life with those they love.  And this we ask in the Name of Jesus Christ our Savior.  Amen

Yours most faithfully,
The Rev. Clarence E. Butler
