Please join us for all or some of our Holy Week and Easter services.

Palm Sunday, April 13th, 10am. The Sunday of the Passion celebrates Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem. At the start of this service, we at St. James carry palms in a short procession, recalling how the crowds laid palms before Jesus as he entered the city. The Passion will be read; visit Liturgies if you wish to preview the service.

Maundy Thursday, April 17th, 7pm. Also known as Holy Thursday, this brief, solemn service commemorates the Maundy (foot washing) and the Last Supper of Jesus and the Apostles. The word maundy comes from the Latin word meaning command (mandate) and refers to the command Jesus gave to his disciples, that they love one another. Lessons appointed for Maundy Thursday can be found at this Lectionary Page.

Good Friday, April 18th, 7pm. On Good Friday, we remember the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ at Calvary. Lessons appointed for Good Friday are available at this Lectionary Page.

Easter, April 20th, 10:00am. Easter at St. James is a festive occasion! Please bring yourself, friends, and family to this joyous service in which we commemorate the Resurrection. Afterward, children are invited to hunt for Easter eggs and treats. Our Easter coffee hour typically offers a fabulous variety of delicious foods and excellent conversation with good folk.
