Dear Members and Friends of St. James,

BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION ALERT!!!

We three men of St. James are,
Bearing cake we travel not far!

Join us on Sunday next, after Eucharist in St. Francis Hall to help us celebrate our birthdays which, so we discovered, are closely aligned.  Come and let us be merry.
Signed: David Olsen (Crucifer/Lay Reader), Brandon Qi (Organist Superb), and Clarence E. Butler (Priest of the Works)

As daylight hours began their expectant increase and a new normalcy gains a surer foothold in our parochial activities, I remind everyone that the Annual Meeting of the parish, required by canon law and secular law, will take place on Sunday, 12 February, in St. Francis Hall.  Everyone is urged to attend.  Concerns and items of importance may be directed to your clergy and to the wardens.

Of your charity, I bid you pray for peace in our world and nation, for our parish that its restoration may continue apace, and for those whose profession and daily work put them in harm’s way, asking Almighty God to bless their enterprise and to protect them from all harm.

We summarize our petitions in the Collect of Day:
Almighty and Everlasting God, you govern all things both in heaven and on earth: Mercifully hear the supplications of your people, and in our time grant us your peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.  Amen.

May the peace of God that passes all understanding, keep your hearts and minds in the love of God and of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord; and the blessing of God Almighty, Father, Son and Holy Spirit be with you and those whom you love into this new year.  Amen.
