Dear Parishioners and Friends of St. James,

It is with joy and relief that I am able to report to you this week that we continue to make progress in addressing many of the issues which arose when, due to Covid-19, we were not on campus with any regularity. These are, of course, primarily building issues. Our diocese has committed to an active role in this concern, and for that support I give thanks.

Traffic and Parking: After several years now of wondering and speculation regarding the property across from St. James on Clarendon Ave., it would appear that construction may be in the works. In any case, I make you aware that activity has increased, such that you should be prepared to encounter even greater traffic and parking problems on Clarendon Ave., as construction vehicles enter and exit at that busy intersection.

Of your charity, I bid your continued prayers and support for the people of Ukraine, for the welcoming efforts towards immigrants to our community, for first responders who are there for us all.

O God, who created all peoples in your image, we thank you for the wonderful diversity of races and cultures in this world. Enrich our lives by ever-widening circles of fellowship, and show us your presence in those who differ most from us, until our knowledge of your love is made perfect in our love for all your children; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

O Lord, mercifully receive the prayers of your people who call upon you, and grant that they may know and understand what things they ought to do, and also may have grace and power faithfully to accomplish them; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

May the peace of God, which passes all understanding, keep your hearts and minds in the knowledge and love of God, and of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord; and the blessing of God Almighty, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, be among you, and remain with you, and those whom you love, for ever. Amen.

Your fellow traveler in The Way,
