This coming Sunday, the Race of Ireland road race may affect your commute to our 10 AM Sunday service. Please read the city announcement, below, to plan your trip.

Also, don’t forget to “spring ahead” Saturday night–move your clocks forward one hour to arrive at St. James at the correct time.

Hope you will join us!

“On Sunday, March 13, the following daytime and evening road closures will be in effect in and around the Davis Sq. area to accommodate two events. From 9 a.m. to approximately 1 p.m. Day St., Herbert St., and Chester St. will be closed to traffic for the Race of Ireland road race, which supports Somerville youth.

Beginning at approximately 11 a.m., additional roadways along the route will also be closed temporarily as runners pass beginning on Highland Ave. and continuing onto Cedar St., Broadway through Ball Sq., Powderhouse Blvd., North St., Broadway in Teele Sq., and ending on Holland St. in Davis Sq. Please note, to help alleviate traffic concerns in the Ball Sq. neighborhood, the race course for this annual event has been REVERSED. Traffic on secondary streets in the race areas may also be delayed for a brief time. Buses traveling to Davis Sq. will be rerouted. Please see mbta.com for more details.

If you have any questions please call 311, or 617-666-3311 from mobile phones or if outside the City.”
